SINGAPORE - What was supposed to be a normal cab ride turned uncomfortable for Mr Abraham Christopher, 32, when the driver started asking his then girlfriend, Ms Jacqueline Lui, 30, why she had to date an Indian man.

The married couple tell The Sunday Times about this incident that took place about six years ago, what their life has been like as a mixed-race couple, and their experience raising their daughter, Diana, who is now two.
