SINGAPORE - Education firm MindChamps will open its first nursery in Abu Dhabi in April 2017.

Called MindChamps Nursery, it can accommodate 192 children aged over one month to four years old.

The nursery is a collaboration between MindChamps and Bloom Education, the education division of Abu Dhabi-based developer Bloom Holdings.

Construction of the nursery started in June this year.

"This is a wonderful story about Singapore exporting a home-grown, unique early childhood education model and brand to the UAE (United Arab Emirates)," said Mr David Chiem, founder, chairman and group chief executive officer of MindChamps.

"As we know, the UAE leaders are passionate about bringing in the best from around the world to build their economy, so we are proud that they have chosen MindChamps Preschool's cutting-edge curriculum for their nation."

MindChamps has 33 pre-schools in Singapore. It also has two pre-schools in the Philippines and two reading and writing centres in Australia.

Singapore Press Holdings bought a stake in MindChamps in 2014.
