SINGAPORE - A double decker bus ran into the roof of a taxi stand shelter at Bishan MRT Station on Sunday (April 2) morning.

The police told The Straits Times on Monday (April 3) that they were informed of the incident, at Bishan Road towards Braddell Road, at 11.21am.

"No injuries were reported," said the police spokesman.

A photo posted on Instagram by user @rayquaza13 on Sunday (April 2) shows the top of the SBS Transit double decker bus severely damaged, with parts of its roof scraped off.

A contributor to citizen journalism site Stomp said he saw the bus crash into the shelter at 10.15am. It was severely damaged and parts of the bus fell to the ground, he said.

The bus was reportedly towed away shortly after.

Ms Tammy Tan, senior vice-president of corporate communications at SBS Transit, told ST that no one was injured in the accident.

" We apologise for the inconvenience caused," she said.

Both the police and SBS Transit are investigating the incident.
