SINGAPORE - Two pedestrians narrowly escaped serious injury after a car barrelled into a sheltered walkway in Choa Chu Kang.

A video of the incident was posted on Facebook by a user on Tuesday (Aug 2) night. The 12-second clip shows two pedestrians walking on the pavement outside De La Salle School at Choa Chu Kang Street 52.

Seconds after they walk past a sheltered walkway, a maroon car goes off-road and crashes into one of the shelter's pillars, before coming to a halt. One of the pedestrians can be seen running away.

The police said that it was informed of an accident along Choa Chu Kang Street 52, towards Street 62, at 7.41am on July 30. No injuries were reported, and no arrests were made.

Police investigations are ongoing.
