Car catches fire at Jalan Bukit Merah on Saturday morning

SINGAPORE - A car burst into flames on Jalan Bukit Merah on Saturday (July 9) morning but no one was injured.

Photos sent to The Straits Times showed a silver car with its front portion on fire in front of Blk 203 on Jalan Bukit Merah.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it was alerted to the incident at 9.08am.

The fire was extinguished by SCDF using two fire extinguishers and one compressed air foam.

No injuries were reported, said SCDF.
