Arthur Law to be new commander at Central Police Division

SINGAPORE -There will be a new commander at the central division of the Singapore Police Force come Jan 2, 2016.

Deputy Assistant Commissioner Arthur Law Kok Leong will take over from current commander Daniel Tan Sin Heng, police said in a press release on Tuesday (Dec 29).

Deputy Assistant Commissioner Tan will be appointed 2 deputy director of operations at Police Headquarters on Jan 2.

Mr Law, 45, joined the Singapore Police Force in 1995.

In his 20 years with the Force, he has been commanding officer of the special tactics and rescue unit, operations head of special operations command, assistant director in the operations department and deputy commander of the Central Division.

Mr Tan, 43, was appointed commander of central division on June 25.

He joined the SPF in 1997 and has served 18 years with SPF.

He was formerly head of operations and training of central division, head of research and planning of traffic police, a deputy director at the Monetary Authority of Singapore and deputy commander of the police security command.
