SINGAPORE - A dispute between two men, believed to be over a woman, created a ruckus at a coffee shop in Yishun on Sunday night (March 11), with the police stepping in to investigate the case of affray.

The incident occurred at the S-11 Yishun 744 Food House at Block 744, Yishun Street 72, at around 9.30pm.

The Straits Times understands that the two men at the centre of the dispute are in their 60s. They were believed to be fighting over a woman, who is the current girlfriend of one of them, and the ex-girlfriend of the other.

A video posted on Facebook page Fabrications About The PAP shows the two men hurling vulgarities at each other. A man in red is shown picking up a bottle, while another man in blue repeatedly taunts him, shouting at him to "come out".

The man in red is shown picking up a chair, which he later uses to hit the man in blue, who retaliates.

More people are shown intervening after this, and a man in white starts to fight another man in blue.

The police told The Straits Times on Monday that they were alerted to the case of affray at 9.24pm on Sunday.

Affray is committed when two or more people disturb the public peace by fighting in a public place.

Police investigations are ongoing.
