A cover of Britney Spears' song Toxic by Nok Air air stewardesses has gone viral, with netizens praising the budget Thai carrier's take of the pop singer's 2003 tune.

Spears was in Bangkok as part of her tour on Friday (June 23) and plays again today (Saturday).

To welcome her, Nok Air put up a 1min 21sec cover of the song, with yellow-uniformed stewardesses dancing and lip-syncing to the lyrics.

The video has more than 477,000 views on YouTube.

YouTube user Vedhava Guntur commented that it was a nice idea, with "awesome execution", possible "only in Thailand".

Willie Booker said "they just won my business".

Nok Air's vice-president of marketing and sales, Pinyot Pibulsongkram, said the airline was "really excited to see our crew's initiatives to make this incredible video", CNN reported on Thursday.

Although Spears, who is known for engaging fans on social media, did not respond to the viral video, she posted clips of her meeting fans and visiting the Phuket Elephant Sanctuary on Twitter and Facebook.

Spears will next fly to Hong Kong before making a stop in Singapore on June 30 for her first major concert here.
