Unbelievable, cheesy Singapore-produced song makes it to Time magazine

SINGAPORE- It is time to believe that cheesy local song "Unbelievable" has gone viral. It ended up on the established Time magazine's online site on Thursday.

The article describes the video as an "instant mood lifter" and said that the star of the video, Singaporean actor Chen Tianwen, is on course to becoming an Internet hit.

The two-minute video in which Chen, 52, sports a 70s appearance and a ridiculous wig, was produced as part of an episode on Channel 5 sitcom Spouse For House.

The lyrics in the song include: "You blossom like a flower, I so stunned like vegetable," and "Please be the metal cable to my cable car".

The show is about a pair of newlyweds who are clueless about marriage and have to deal with well-meaning, albeit intrusive family and friends. The video on MediaCorp Channel 5 Facebook page has been viewed more than 900,000 times since it was put up on Monday.
