Popular home-grown pop quartet The Sam Willows are set to headline their own concert at The Coliseum, Hard Rock Hotel, at Resorts World Sentosa on July 22.

The show is their biggest solo concert in Singapore to date, and the band are the first local act to perform at the 5,000-capacity venue, according to their record label Sony Music Entertainment Singapore.

Sony adds that it expects 3,000 fans to attend the gig, the first in a planned regional tour in support of their debut album, Take Heart, released in October last year. The rest of the dates and countries on the tour have yet to be confirmed.

Formed in 2012, the band released their debut EP the same year and have since performed at international music festivals and conferences such as SXSW Music Festival in the United States, Canadian Music Week in Canada and MU:CON in South Korea.

Tickets, from $48 onwards, go on sale through Sistic on May 19 for DBS Live Fresh Card holders and May 29 for the general public.
