SINGAPORE - American rockers The Foo Fighters are returning to Singapore for a concert at the National Stadium on Aug 26, more than 20 years after they last played here at the WTC Harbour Pavilion in 1996.

Tickets go on sale from May 23 at 10am via Sports Hub Tix. They are priced at $168 and $238 for standing, and $128, $168, $198 and $238 for seats. Tickets will also available at the Singapore Indoor Stadium Box Office and all SingPost outlets islandwide.

Fronted by Dave Grohl, the Foo Fighters were last scheduled to perform in Singapore in March 2012 at the Padang for the Wasting Light Tour, but cancelled because Grohl was advised by doctors to "take it easy on his voice". Many other tour dates were cancelled then.

Speculation was rife that the band would play shows in Asia this year, after the Summer Sonic Festival in Japan confirmed the band would be one of their headliners.

The Foos will also be playing shows in other parts of Asia, including South Korea (Aug 22) and Bangkok (Aug 24).
