LOS ANGELES - Chadwick Boseman plays a superhero on screen, but that does not spare him from something far too many African Americans experience: being pulled over and harassed by the police for no reason.

That and the long history of tensions between the police force and black community in the United States are why the actor - who played the title role in the Marvel smash hit Black Panther (2018) - had mixed feelings about portraying a police officer in his new film, 21 Bridges.
