SINGAPORE - A budget hotel on freehold land near the junction of Sims Way and Sims Avenue is up for sale.

Regin Hotel's 46 rooms spread over five levels now cater to budget travellers, mostly from the region.

But "interested parties can consider repositioning the hotel to a different category, such as a themed boutique hotel or a hip and trendy hostel", said the property's exclusive marketing agent Savills Singapore.

Many popular eateries and restaurants, well known to locals and tourists alike, are located just a short walk away, along the main Geylang Road and Sims Avenue. The hotel is surrounded by other private apartments, shophouses and small industrial buildings.

Its location is approximately 550m, or eight minutes' walk, from Kallang MRT station. Raffles Place station is four stops away and HarbourFront station, where VivoCity and Sentosa are located, is seven stops away.

In close proximity is the Singapore Sports Hub. Marina Bay and Raffles Place are a short 10-minute drive away via Nicoll Highway. Access to Changi Airport is equally convenient via the East Coast Parkway located nearby.

The sale of Regin Hotel is by expression of interest, which must be submitted by 3pm on Nov 15.
