Supermarket chain Sheng Siong's Q4 net profit up 23.9%

SINGAPORE - Supermarket chain Sheng Siong reported fourth-quarter earnings were up 23.9 per cent at $14.6 million .

Revenue for the three months to Dec 31 inched up 4.9 per cent to $187.1 million, compared with the same period a year ago.

Net profit for the full year was up 19.3 per cent to $56.8 million, while revenue increased 5.3 per cent to $764.4 million.

Quarterly earnings per share were 0.97 cents, up from 0.78 cents a year ago, while net asset value per share was 16.41 cents as at Dec 31, up from 15.71 cents a year ago.
