SingPost's ex-CEO Wolfgang Baier now heads beauty products distributor Luxasia

SINGAPORE - Former head honcho of Singapore Post (SingPost) Dr Wolfgang Baier has joined beauty products distributor Luxasia as its CEO.

In a press release on Wednesday (Aug 17), privately-held Luxasia said Dr Baier, who resigned from Singpost in December 2015, has been appointed Luxasia's group CEO with immediate effect.

Its founder-owner Patrick Chong will become chairman.

"The appointment of Dr Baier, who has an impressive track record in the transformation of industries and large corporations, will be key to Luxasia's overall growth strategy," said Luxasia.

Added Mr Chong: "Wolfgang has proven leadership capabilities, vast knowledge and skills in areas such as customer relationship management and omni-channel retail experiences, which will strengthen Luxasia's future offerings. His track record in the logistics sector will also help strengthen Luxasia's existing partnerships."

Luxasia manages a portfolio of more than 120 international fragrance, cosmetics, skincare and professional salon brands such as Clarins, Estee Lauder, Ferragamo, Hermes and Shiseido. It has 11 offices in the region, and more than 2,000 full-time employees in Singapore.
