SINGAPORE - Sembcorp Marine has forged a new industry record for the highest number of liquefied natural gas (LNG) vessel repair and upgrade projects in a single year.

The company has topped the list for the fourth year running, securing a total of 34 such projects in the global market.

Sembcorp Marine's head of repairs and upgrades, Ms Wong Lee Lin, credits long-term partners and customers for the company's continued success.

"We are very privileged to work with leading LNG ship owners and operators who, over the years, have put their faith in our holistic solutions, integrated facilities and dedicated project teams,¨ she said.

"Their trust has encouraged us to exceed expectations consistently and in turn strengthen our track record from year to year. As a top LNG vessel repair and upgrade specialist, we are also proud to be contributing to Singapore's status as a global LNG hub."

Last year, Sembcorp Marine repaired and upgraded 32 LNG vessels at its Admiralty and Tuas Boulevard shipyards, up from 27 in 2013.

Owners and operators of the 34 LNG vessels repaired or upgraded at Sembcorp Marine's Admiralty and Tuas Boulevard shipyards this year include Shell International LNG Supply, China LNG Shipping (International) and Chevron Shipping.
