Rescuers save a three-year-old boy after he fell some 12 metres into a deep well while playing.
WEIFANG, SHANDONG PROVINCE, CHINA (REUTERS) - Rescuers in eastern China successfully pulled a three-year-old boy from a deep well last week in Shandong province.
Chinese state broadcaster CCTV said the boy fell about 12m into the 90m-deep well while playing.
Firefighters pumped oxygen into the narrow hole so the boy could breathe.
Finally, rescuers were able to tie a rope around the boy's wrist and lift him to safety.
He was brought to a hospital where he was treated for minor injuries.
