SUTD robot curbs mosquito breeding; trials completed in Jalan Besar

Researchers from SUTD developed a new robot to combat mosquito breeding. Named Sable, it can inspect hard-to-reach areas such as secondary rooftops and drains of housing estates to detect stagnant water and dispense larvicide, thereby reducing mosquito population and lowering risks of mosquito-borne disease outbreaks.
