Internet outage shows the need for resilience

SINGAPORE - For about an hour on Tuesday evening (June 8), it seemed like large parts of the Internet had simply broken down.

Many major websites were left inaccessible after technical issues hit cloud computing company Fastly, which operates a content delivery network (CDN) with more than 80 data centres around the world.
