Singapore named top container port under new global benchmark

PSA is expecting to move over all their operations at Tanjong Pagar, Keppel, and Brani Terminals to Tuas Port by 2027. Operations at Pasir Panjang Terminal will be consolidated at Tuas Port by 2040s. 

Tuas Port is currently the world’s largest fully automated container terminal and will have an annual handling capacity of 65 million TEUs when it’s fully completed in the 2040s.

Automated equipment and integrated operations systems will be deployed to operate this next generation port. The first set of berths at Tuas Port Phase 1 have started operations since 2021.

Can be used for stories on PSA, port, ship, economy, container, terminal, trade, berth, budget, transshipment, supply chain, operator, business, money, property, land, finance, and financial, maritime, supply chain, port operator, shipping, export, trade war, recession, tariff and transportation.
