SINGAPORE - The pandemic has put the brakes on the development and progress of sports around the world, including the local hockey scene, which has seen "two years of attrition" of its players owing to social distancing rules affecting team sports.
In order to reverse the damage, the Singapore Hockey Federation (SHF) is embarking on a restart with the appointment of technical director Mathias Ahrens - a first in the history of the sport here.
