Telcos act on complaints over third party charges; not all content providers bound by code of practice

SINGAPORE - Singtel will introduce more safeguards to protect its customers from being billed for third-party mobile services that they had not intended to sign up for.

This comes after a report in The Straits Times last month (February) on complaints from dozens of customers about SMS messages and unwanted charges from subscription mobile game services.
