Nets services down for two hours

Nets, the largest e-payment provider here, suffered a temporary outage islandwide yesterday, disrupting all of its cashless services for about two hours.
Many people were unable to use Nets to make purchases or top up their CashCards.
The failure is believed to be the first in decades, and comes as Nets is ramping up to be the unifying force in Singapore's move towards being a cashless society.
The Monetary Authority of Singapore said yesterday that it has instructed Nets to submit a report. It added that "supervisory action" will be taken if needed.
