One of the biggest announcements to emerge from Friday's (March 4) debate on the Manpower Ministry's budget, is a new points-based Complementarity Assessment Framework (Compass) for Employment Pass (EP) approvals.
The current criteria for EP approvals have long been criticised for not being transparent, as only basic information such as salary, work experience and educational qualifications are set out in MOM's online self-assessment tool.
