Close to 7,000 participants took part in the Chua Chu Kang B.I.G. Farm Walk and Run yesterday. The event in Brickland Road, which was organised by Chua Chu Kang GRC and Hong Kah North SMC, was attended by their MPs. They are (from left in row behind girl with balloons) Mr Yee Chia Hsing; Parliamentary Secretary (Education; and Trade and Industry) Low Yen Ling; Health Minister Gan Kim Yong; Senior Minister of State (Health; Environment and Water Resources) Amy Khor; Mr Zaqy Mohamad; and Mr Alex Yam. The annual event encouraged families - even those with young children - to keep fit together. Families took part in three categories: A 10km non-competitive run, a 3km walk and a "kids dash" for children up to 12 years old.
