2 motorcyclists injured after accident along BKE towards Woodlands Checkpoint

SINGAPORE - Two motorcyclists were injured after an accident along the Bukit Timah Expressway towards Woodlands Checkpoint in the wee hours of Saturday (June 30).

Police said they were alerted to the accident involving two motorcycles at 12.19am.

The two motorcyclists, aged 41 and 48, were sent to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital, added the police spokesman.

The Straits Times understands that the 41-year-old motorcyclist was unconscious when sent to the hospital.

Police investigations are ongoing.

About an hour later, a fatal accident also occurred at the Causeway, after an accident involving a trailer, lorry and three motorcycles left two people dead and three injured.

A 30-year-old trailer driver was arrested for suspected drink driving, while a 23-year-old lorry driver, who was one of the injured, was arrested for allegedly causing death by rash act.
