United States President Joe Biden arrives in Europe later this week for talks with his European allies on their next steps in tackling the war in Ukraine.

His Europe trip can hardly be more timely. Thursday - when the American President joins his colleagues for an emergency summit of the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (Nato) - the US-led alliance in Europe - marks precisely a month since Russian troops invaded Ukraine.
