SINGAPORE – Nearly 30 years ago, in October 1993, Mr Mike Yoong was among thousands of people who did a 15-minute exercise routine at the Padang with then Prime Minister Goh Chok Tong.
That was a mass performance of the Great Singapore Workout, which had been launched that year to raise awareness that exercise was important for a healthy lifestyle.
