SINGAPORE - President Joe Biden's upcoming special summit with Asean leaders will be an opportunity to demonstrate America's robust ties with Asean, according to a senior US official.

Reiterating US commitment to Asean centrality, Assistant Secretary of State for East Asian and Pacific Affairs Daniel Kritenbrink said Washington had already made that clear last year, both as part of the Indo-Pacific strategy and America's foreign policy.
