SINGAPORE – The $13 million Group 1 prize in Monday’s Toto jackpot draw was won by a single ticket.

It is the largest amount won on a ticket for a Toto draw in Singapore, a spokesman for Singapore Pools confirmed.

The winning numbers were 2, 10, 12, 13, 45 and 48. The additional number was 11.

The large prize of $13,077,918 was accumulated over the last three draws, on Sept 21, Sept 25 and last Thursday, when there were no Group 1 prize winners.

To win the Group 1 prize, a ticket must have all six winning numbers. When there are no winners, the prize money snowballs to the next draw.

The winning ticket was sold at Rangoon Provision Shop, a Singapore Pools outlet at Block 681 Race Course Road. It was a QuickPick System 8 entry.

It is not known if the ticket belonged to an individual or was shared among several people.

The outlet also sold one of the 25 winning tickets for the Group 2 prize, each worth $62,991. Group 2 winning tickets have five of the winning numbers and the additional number.

Punters say the outlet, nestled in a quiet row of shops just walking distance from Farrer Park MRT station, is frequented by residents and those who work in the area.

One punter, an office assistant who wanted to be known as Mr KH, expects the outlet to draw more customers, now that news of the record-breaking Toto win is spreading.

“But if the queue is very long, I’ll avoid it,” said the 70-year-old, who buys tickets for nearly every Toto draw at the outlet.

An Indian migrant worker told The Straits Times that the outlet is his “lucky spot”, and he spends $30 to $50 a month buying tickets.

The 46-year-old, who wanted to be known as Mr Kalee, once won $3,000 from a ticket purchased from Rangoon Provision Shop.

“Just try my luck,” he said. “(Winning) a few thousand better than a million, for me. More money, more stress.”
