BEIJING – China’s most popular online travel agency CTrip doubles as a test bed for family-friendly policies, thanks to its co-founder, who has a deep interest in boosting the country’s dwindling fertility rate.

Its latest experiment is a childcare subsidy programme worth one billion yuan (S$188 million).
