Study: Flu meds safe for pregnant mums

PARIS • Unborn babies suffer no harm when their mothers take flu medication during pregnancy, a study said yesterday.

It was the largest study to assess the potential risks of taking oseltamivir or zanamivir, better known as Tamiflu and Relenza, during pregnancy, its authors said.

Two hurt as French cop accidentally fires gun

VILLOGNON (France) • A French policeman accidentally fired his gun, slightly injuring two people at an event where President Francois Hollande was speaking in south- western France. Mr Hollande was inaugurating part of a high-speed rail line when the incident occurred.
