Presidential race heads to run-off vote

BUENOS AIRES • Argentina faces a presidential run-off vote to replace Ms Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner, who is constitutionally barred from seeking a third term.

The candidate she backed, Mr Daniel Scioli, took only 37 per cent of the votes counted in Sunday's election against 34.5 per cent for conservative opposition candidate Mauricio Macri, who has vowed to undo Ms Kirchner's main policies.

Cops accused of blocking cameras inside mosque

JERUSALEM • A Jordanian-run Islamic trust which administers Jerusalem's Al-Aqsa mosque compound has accused Israeli police of blocking the installation of cameras, a key measure agreed to defuse Israeli- Palestinian tensions over the holy site.

The trust said it considers Israel wants cameras that serve only its own interests. Israeli police had no comment.
