Jaylon Rippy was on a boating trip with her family on the Suwannee River in north-west Florida on Thursday when the jumping fish injured the girl, her mother and her nine-year-old brother, the state's Fish and Wildlife Commission said in a statement.

March for man who died in police custody

THE HAGUE • Hundreds of residents of The Hague staged a silent march on Saturday afternoon to protest against the death of a Caribbean man who died after being forcefully arrested by Dutch police.

The protesters laid flowers at the spot where Mr Mitch Henriquez, 42, from the Dutch island of Aruba, was arrested last week on Saturday after a music concert. He died a day after his arrest.

More than 200 people were arrested this week after Mr Henriquez's death sparked four nights of rioting in The Hague's predominantly immigrant Schilderswijk district.

Five Dutch police officers have been suspended from their duties over the incident.
