Mahathir could stay as PM beyond two years
PETALING JAYA • Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad has said that his stint at the premiership could be extended beyond the two years previously stated, emphasising that it was only a "suggestion".
While acknowledging that two years was the initial decision, following which he would hand over to Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Tun Dr Mahathir said: " It could be earlier, or even later."

Myanmar monks to defy Facebook ban
YANGON • Myanmar's hardline monks will dodge bans on Facebook and keep using it to "tell the truth", they said last Friday, after the social media giant barred several Buddhist nationalists for hate messages targeting Rohingya Muslims.
Myanmar's nationalist monks and activists have been sharing violent and angry rhetoric on Facebook targeting the minority group.

LOS ANGELES • Fans of Game Of Thrones could be treated to a prequel series set thousands of years before the hit fantasy saga. According to a statement last Friday, HBO has ordered a pilot episode of the spinoff and that the prequel, if picked up, will give viewers the chance to see "the world's descent from the golden Age of Heroes into its darkest hour".
