Kerry to speak on US' global role

US Secretary of State John Kerry will deliver a speech on the role of the United States in the world to the Chicago Council on Global Affairs this morning, Singapore time.

He will highlight America's current international objectives and discuss its role moving forward, according to the council.


Job fair at Jurong Green CC

Jurong GRC MP Ang Wei Neng will be joining stallholders affected by the recent Jurong fire and residents of Jurong Central for the Community Job Fair at Jurong Green Community Club today. The fair aims to help those who were put out of work because of the Jurong West fire, and residents in Jurong Central looking for opportunities in the food and beverage industry.


OCBC to release Q3 results

OCBC Bank will release its third-quarter results today - the first of the local banks to do so in the current reporting season.

Market watchers are expected to scrutinise its bottom line closely, as well as the amount of additional provisions the bank may have had to set aside on account of its exposure to the ailing offshore and marine industry.
