G-7 finance leaders meeting in Canada

Finance ministers and central bank governors of the Group of Seven (G-7) industrialised nations will converge in the town of Whistler in Canada today for a three-day meeting on the theme of "Investing in growth that works for everyone". Key topics during the meeting include the United States' negotiations with China on trade and intellectual property, and the pending US steel and aluminium tariffs.


PC Show begins today

The PC Show opens today at the Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre.

This is the 28th year the IT and consumer electronics show is being held, and it will run until Sunday.


Briefing by Courts Asia on results

Electrical, IT and furniture retailer Courts Asia will hold a briefing on its latest results and corporate updates. It reported yesterday a net loss of $3.02 million for the fourth quarter ended March 31, reversing from a profit of $3.99 million a year ago. For the full year, its net profit dived 66 per cent to $8.1 million.
