Moon and Trump meet in Washington

South Korean President Moon Jae In and United States President Donald Trump will meet today in Washington, as Seoul seeks to play the mediator between Pyongyang and Washington.

The two leaders are expected to focus on denuclearisation plans for North Korea, amid Pyongyang's threats to call off a summit between Mr Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un next month.


10 scientists to receive fellowships

The 10 scientists chosen to receive fellowships from the Singapore National Academy of Science will be conferred the honour at a ceremony at the National University of Singapore today. The honorary fellowships recognise individuals who have distinguished themselves in the field of science.


Meeting to boost construction sector

The Board of Architects and the Association of Consulting Engineers Singapore will jointly host a BOA-ACES conference today on building stronger alliances. There will be updates on the construction industry transformation map, and experts will be sharing more on collaboration opportunities and building the Singapore brand. Minister for Finance Heng Swee Keat is the guest of honour.
