S. Korean envoys return from North trip

South Korean envoys return today from North Korea, at the end of a two-day trip, the main focus of which was to encourage the start of North Korea-United States talks.

The envoys will brief President Moon Jae In on their North Korea trip, during which they met the North's leader, Mr Kim Jong Un. Two delegation leaders are due to fly to Washington later in the week to brief US officials on their discussions in the North.


Symposium on mental health

The Institute of Mental Health (IMH) and NTU's Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine are organising the second Frontiers in Mental Health Symposium today at the IMH Lecture Hall, themed "Advancing Research in Depression and Psychosis". Top researchers, neuroscientists, clinicians and academics will share their expertise and updates on recent research on depression and psychosis, and the biological causes for these conditions.


Aussie central bank to discuss rates

The Reserve Bank of Australia will hold its March meeting today to set the country's interest rate direction.

The markets have been prepped to expect rates to remain at 1.5 per cent, as the central bank had previously signalled that it is in no rush to raise rates soon.
