Briefing on Trump-Kim summit

United States Secretary of State Mike Pompeo will brief South Korean President Moon Jae In today on the outcome of the historic summit between US President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. Mr Pompeo will also visit China today at the invitation of Chinese State Councillor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi.


F&B networking event

The Singapore Bakery and Confectionery Trade Association and The Planner Affairs are organising the inaugural Chillax Asia 2018 today for aspiring entrepreneurs, home-grown F&B enterprises and multinational corporations to interact and form new partnerships. Held at Suntec City Convention and Exhibition Centre, the four-day event will feature 160 booths and showcase events such as the International Bake-A-Star Championship.


Spain in turmoil ahead of Portugal game

With hosts Russia taking on Saudi Arabia in the opening match of the World Cup tonight, the real seismic news still centres around 2010 champions Spain, who late yesterday sacked manager Julen Lopetegui after he agreed to join Real Madrid without informing the national authorities. Despite the shockwaves from the dismissal, Spain must keep things on an even keel as they prepare to take on Portugal at 2am on Saturday (Singapore time).
