Jokowi visits Australia

Indonesian President Joko Widodo will head to Australia this weekend for his first visit as head of state to a key ally whose relationship with Jakarta has been strained in recent years.

Ahead of the visit, Mr Joko had said he would discuss with his counterpart Malcolm Turnbull joint patrols by Indonesian and Australian vessels in the hotly contested South China Sea. Mr Joko will be in Sydney today and tomorrow.


Saudi King embarks on Asia tour

Saudi Arabia's King Salman Abdulaziz Al-Saud will arrive in Malaysia tomorrow on a four-day state visit, the first stop of his Asia tour.

He will head next to Indonesia on Wednesday during his five-nation tour, which also counts Japan, China and the Maldives as part of his itinerary.


Designing for persons with disabilities

DesignSingapore Council is organising its second design marathon, Designathon 2017, to create products and solutions that will help persons with disabilities in Singapore.

Mr Chee Hong Tat, Minister of State for Communications and Information and for Health, will be guest of honour for the closing event today at the auditorium of the National Design Centre.
