CARACAS (AFP) - Venezuelan officials held a ceremony around the coffin holding the body of late President Hugo Chavez on Wednesday as they began a funeral procession in the capital.

The late leader's mother held a handkerchief to her face, weeping on his flag-draped coffin as a band played the national anthem before a priest read a prayer.
