US to release intelligence on Syria gas attack this week

WASHINGTON (AFP) - The United States said on Tuesday it would release intelligence on the alleged chemical weapons attack in Syria, which reportedly killed hundreds of civilians, later this week.

"I think you can expect it this week," White House spokesman Jay Carney told reporters at a daily briefing, amid widespread expectations that the US would launch a military response to the alleged use of chemical agents.
