No reason given for delay, but South Korea says move does not mean talks have been cancelled

An anticipated high-level meeting between the United States and North Korea was abruptly postponed, triggering concern about the progress of denuclearisation talks even as South Korea tried to remain upbeat.

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo was originally scheduled to meet Mr Kim Yong Chol, a top aide to North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, in New York today.
