US Marines announce suspension of 60mm mortars after Nevada blast

LAS VEGAS (REUTERS) - The Untied States Marines ordered a blanket suspension of the use of 60mm mortars pending a review after a blast killed seven Marines during a training exercise in Nevada, a military spokesman said on Tuesday.

"A blanket suspension of 60mm mortars and associated tubes is now in effect until review is complete," Marine Corps spokesman Captain Kendra Motz said in a statement.
