Vote on Affordable Care Act revision

The United States House of Representatives votes today on the Republican plan to revise the Affordable Care Act.

More than two dozen Republican lawmakers remain firmly opposed to the legislation amid a high-stakes persuasion campaign led by President Donald Trump and House Speaker Paul Ryan - more than enough to block the Bill ahead of the vote.

Trees to be planted in memory of Mr Lee

Tree-planting ceremonies will be held at Tiong Bahru Community Centre and Duxton Plain Park today to commemorate the second anniversary of the death of Singapore's founding prime minister Lee Kuan Yew. Several species that were the favourites of Mr and Mrs Lee will be planted.

S'pore consumer price data out today

Singapore's consumer price index (CPI) for last month will be released today. A Reuters poll has found that economists expect it to have risen by 0.7 per cent, the fastest annual pace in more than two years.

This comes after Singapore's headline CPI in January grew at the fastest pace in two years due to increases in the prices of oil-related items and higher services inflation.
