Trump hosts Aussie PM at White House

United States President Donald Trump hosts Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull at the White House today.

Mr Trump's pledge to fix ailing roads, bridges and airports in the US might get an unlikely boost from retirement savers in Australia, as Mr Turnbull will propose using a chunk of Australia's A$2.53 trillion (S$2.62 trillion) pension savings pool to help unlock funding for Mr Trump's infrastructure push.


Chingay Parade kicks off tonight 

The annual Chingay Parade kicks off tonight with a longer parade route compared with last year, as well as free street parades.

Organised by the People's Association, the event features 6,500 performers as well as 2,000 volunteers. Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong will be the guest of honour.


Redas Spring Festival lunch

The Real Estate Developers' Association of Singapore (Redas) will be holding a lunch today to mark this year's Spring Festival.

Minister for Social and Family Development and Second Minister for National Development Desmond Lee will be the guest of honour at the celebration.
