US Congress group pushes for stronger ties with Asean

Former United States president Barack Obama's pivot to Asia is yesterday's policy, but a group in the US Congress is working to ensure that America, with an eye on China, focuses on Asean.

The Congressional Asean Caucus was co-founded last year by Texas Representative Joaquin Castro, who is also part of the Congressional Singapore Caucus and sits on the foreign relations and intelligence committees in the House of Representatives.
