WASHINGTON - There is little to suggest that China and the United States are near a breakthrough in their trade negotiations, a range of experts and analysts in the US said following high level talks in Shanghai on Wednesday (July 31).
"Neither side feels such urgency to strike a deal that they are willing to quickly and publicly bend on core positions," the Eurasia Group said of the talks, which are due to resume in the US in September.
