UN Security Council opens emergency meeting on US strikes in Syria

UNITED NATIONS, United States (AFP) - The UN Security Council met in an emergency session on Friday (April 7) to discuss the US military action in Syria in retaliation for a suspected chemical weapons attack.

The meeting was called by Bolivia, which has branded the US cruise missile strikes on a Syrian air base a violation of international law.
